Dr. Jackson has studied at Nicholls State University and United Baptist Theological
Seminary of Houma, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Christian Bible College of Baton
Rouge, Louisiana where he has received five degrees. (Bachelors and Masters of
Theology, Grad-Specialist Degrees in Christian Education & Christian Counseling, and a
Doctor Degree in Theology.) He also holds a Diploma in Christian Education from the
National Baptist Sunday Church School and Baptist Training Union Congress in
Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Jackson is a member of numerous organizations and conventions, such as the Louisiana Southern Baptist
Association of the Fifth District, Louisiana Southern Baptist Association of the Fifth District Sunday School
Department (Past Vice-President), Christian Bible College (Instructor), Christian Bible College Alumni Association
(President for Terrebonne / Lafourche / Assumption), National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, National
Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, E.K. Bailey Expository Preaching Conference of Dallas, Texas, and
Glory to Glory Ministries in Baton Rouge, La. (Advisory Board).
Dr. Jackson is both a Spirit-led visionary and a humble servant to his congregations and community. He is a beloved
teacher, counselor and friend to his church family. His greatest joys are preaching the gospel, caring for his family
and serving Gods people. The theme of his ministry is "WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF GOD BLESSED US, THE WAY
WE SERVE HIM." He is also presently the proud pastor of the Israelite Baptist Church of Valentine, Louisiana. Dr.
Jackson joined the New Rising Sun Baptist Church in 1998 and has served faithfully since. He has held the
positions of Assistant to the Pastor and Assistant Pastor.
Dr. Jackson is married to the former Pamela Robinson and the father of one son Phillip Jackson.
